Trick The Riddle

Introductions
Trick the Riddle is a dynamic duo made up of Luke Vichnis (vocals/guitar) and Hunter Krasnow (keys), who are off their leashes and determined to make exactly the kind of music they’ve been dreaming of. After playing together in a previous band and watching other players come and go, the two decided “Fuck ‘em!” and pursued the project on their own. Their sound integrates a lot of the classical elements that Luke and Hunter grew up on, but this delicate and deliberate approach (which is often attributed to the keys) is balanced by heavy, intentionally wild lyrics and guitar work.
There’s a distinct theme or message that holds steady throughout Trick The Riddle’s released music: Even when the world lets you down, you just have to pick up and keep chasing your dream. Throw all your energy into moving forward and GO! Both “Frown” and “Undertow” reflect this sentiment masterfully.
Tours & Shows
Trick The Riddle maintains that they do more touring through the planes of reality than they do in the “pack the van” sense. Physical shows (the kind with the stages and the crowds) have been played in Brooklyn at Gold Sounds, Farmingdale at Croxley’s, Patchogue at Brickhouse Brewery, and an assortment of additional venues across Long Island.

Inspirations & Influences
Trick The Riddles borrows heavily from grunge, emo, and punk influences. They credit bands like Nirvana, System of a Down, and My Chemical Romance as core inspirations for their sound.
