Introductions

Cherry Pop is a high-energy punk band that exploded onto the Long Island scene in 2015. Founded by frontwoman Cherry B and original guitarist Dylan Acid, the band grew to include original bass player Kyle Filth and drummer Nick Hero. Eventually TJ Dirt and Austin Vomit took over on bass and guitar respectively, rounding out their current line up. Cherry Pop cuts through the bullshit to deliver fast-paced, straight-to-the-point songs full of personal experiences, life lessons, and vitriol.

The band considers “Fool” to be their most meaningful song. “It portrays an empowering point of view in any life situation to watch your own back and not be a fool to anyone’s nonsense,” they explain. The song does a bang-up job of capturing the relatable frustration that comes with being underestimated.

In a land of tributes, jam bands, and fusions, it’s always fun to stumble across something that feels committed to one pure sound—and Cherry Pop nails it. Put on a pair on headphones and instantly you feel right at home (if dark, hot, and sweaty venues feel like home to you too).

Their tunes will bring out your inner riot grrl, remind you that you’re a a rebel at heart, and just generally shake shit up when life gets mundane!

Tours & Shows

Cherry Pop frequents some of our favorite stages across Long Island and into NYC including Revolution, Lucky 13 Saloon, Shillelagh’s Tavern, Ram’s American Pub, and BrickHouse Brewery. Although they’ve stuck close to home so far, they’ve been building momentum up for their first tour, planned for New Port Richey, Florida!

Cherry Pop was sponsored by Sam Ash Music Stores in May 2019.
