Introductions

The first time I heard Stephano Andreotti’s voice was while sitting with friends in the auditorium of Riverhead High School during auditions for a musical. None of us 14-year-olds were expecting the glorious, full-bodied voice that filled the room with emotion and power; especially not from the guy in the long coat and mane of black curly hair, who we offhandedly pegged as the shy kid. His warm tenor voice captivated his audience then and continues to command the stage to this day.

Stephano (forever Steve in my head) has been deeply influenced by music his entire life. Exposed to opera and pop (think closer to Barry Manilow than Taylor Swift) early on thanks to a close relationship with his grandfather, he’s drawn to a wide range of music.

Mr. Andreotti was entranced by Cat’s “Memory” by age two and heavily involved in theater by 15. Something of a modern renaissance man, he is driven to learning and seeking a connection between head, body, and heart. He honed his natural talent by studying classical music at Westminster Choir College and then SUNY Adelphi, as well as working under renowned performer Kelley Nassief. This led him to sonically spar in—and win—the national Festival of Song USA competition.

At this point of his career his original writing is mostly gifted to fellow musical friends to craft into unique songs. Stephano is currently building a complex classical compilation guided by the science of art and sacred geometry.

Tours and Shows

Winning the Festival of Song USA competition in 2017 sent Stephano on a three-month tour of Italy. There he experienced the heart of opera performing at the Castello Ristonchi in Pelago and competing at Gianni Contino’s Cantamare in Palermo, Sicily. He has also taken lead roles in Red River Lyric in Wichita, Texas: as Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore and as the title character in Idomeneo. On a more local note, you can find Stephano playing the tri-state area on a regular basis, particularly around the holiday season as he dusts off his traditional merry tunes.

Stephano commands stages of all kinds, as he is not only a musician but also an actor, model, and pro-wrestler! Participating in dark matches via Fight the World Wrestling, the tenor flexes another sort of command and power. Stephano spoke on how interconnected our physical and emotional selves are, impressing the importance of strength and flexibility of body to properly express the range and length of notes.
